Hi.

follow along on my misadventures in fashion, cooking, writing and adulthood as I rapidly approach 30.

Five Friday Favorites {Vol. 1}

Do you really need and/or desire some long-ass boring introduction? This isn't some recipe that begins with a novel about how my once coming out of a surgery telling a nurse how much I loved Michael Jackson somehow inspired cookies and the headline isn't clickbait in this case, people. Here are five things I loved this week...

No. 1. Wild Wild Country: Y'all. Y'all. Y'all. I tried to resist this for a bit as Netflix is starting to rule my life it seems, but ended up caving after seeing Mandy Moore's themed Bachelorette party and coveting every outfit, only to be informed by my friends that it was cult-themed. My new mission is to make millennial mustard and maroon a thing in 2018. Cult chic forever! But also, SHEELA.

No. 2. In my never-ending quest to glow like J.Lo, I recently gave L'Oreal's Lumi Glotion in Light and this s--t is kind of magical. Highly recommend this and several of the Lumi products. Let's all channel our inner J.Lo this summer together!

No. 3. OK listen, I am aware that Quest bars, while considered edible gold for a brief period of time, are not the greatest for you (So. Many, Ingredients. Including palm oil + sucralose aka a fancy word for fake sugah!), damnit, if I it wasn't love at first bite when I cracked and bought one of their chocolate chip cookies! As I kid, I used to take great pleasure in painstakingly putting five fresh-out-of-the-microwave chips ahoy cookies (or chips deluxe, depending on which were on sale because if sales were my mom's favorite child) in a ring around a glass of milk to eat. Let me have this!

No. 4. Marco Polo app: Have you heard of this? If not, get yourself and everyone you know (or want to talk to on a daily basis!) on it. It's basically a group chat but with video. My Bachelor Discussion group is on it and we talk almost 24/7 and it's brought us all so much closer together, giving us an inside and intimate look at each other's daily routines and quirks.

No. 5. BoxUnion: I recently tried this boxing class in Santa Monica and can see myself becoming addicted. It's a very welcoming set-up, with each person getting their own bag and easy-to-put-on wraps. Boxing can seem like such an intimidating workout,  but BoxUnion inspires you to sweat with a smile, as cheesy as that sounds. It's like the SoulCycle of boxing, which is a compliment. Oh, and it helps me live out my fantasies of having a Creed-like training montage with Michael B. Jordan. (Best movie of the decade, don't argue.)
